Today, Beko Europe participated in the third monitoring meeting regarding the company's presence in Italy.
During this meeting, the company reaffirmed its commitment to working with national and regional authorities and trade unions on the transformation plan for its Italian operations, which was presented to the government and social parties on November 20, 2024.
This plan is the result of a comprehensive review of the company's European activities in compliance with the legal and regulatory framework.
Beko Europe's primary objective is to maintain a stable and long-term manufacturing and operational presence in Europe, particularly in Italy.
The company today reaffirmed Italy's central role in its global strategy as a center of excellence for Global Cooking, including research and development (R&D) activities and global industrial design, with €110 million to be invested in the production of built-in hobs, ovens and microwaves.
The company remains open to further discussions to define the modalities and timing for the review and implementation of the plan, with a view to finding joint solutions that best protect relevant stakeholders.
In a spirit of broad cooperation to find a solution that can secure the future of the affected operations, Beko Europe is committed to keeping production active and to continue to absorb the significant losses of the sites until the end of 2025 and to continue discussions at both national and local levels to facilitate the search for the best possible solution.
